Essential elements of a Midwestern 4^th of July party include beer, brats, burgers and potato salad. Along with these summer party must-haves, Essen Haus and Come Back In are hosting live music from The Midwesterners at the new free event called “A Midwestern 4^th of July” on Thurs. July 4 from 4-8 p.m.

The party takes place at 514 E. Wilson St. on the restaurants’ popular outdoor patio and deck. Along with the common faire of the quintessential 4^th of July picnic, free volleyball play is available on the new sand volleyball court.

Diners may still enjoy the Come Back In regular menu and a limited Essen Haus menu will also be available from the Come Back In. The Essen Haus will not be open on the holiday.

ESSEN HAUS INTRODUCES FATHER’S DAY GRILL OUT

This year Essen Haus introduces the Essen Haus Father’s Day Grill Out. The event will take place on Sun., June 16 from 11 a.m.-6 p.m at 514 E. Wilson St. in Madison, WI  on the restaurant’s outdoor deck and patio.

The special menu features items made-to-order on Essen Haus’ large outdoor grill and includes: 16 oz Ribeye Steaks, 16 oz Top Sirloin Steaks, Pork Chops, BBQ Ribs, Chicken Kabobs, Shrimp Kabobs and Salmon Filets. Burgers and hotdogs off the grill will be available for children.

ESSEN HAUS, COME BACK IN, AND UP NORTH BAR CELEBRATE ST. PATRICK’S DAY ALL WEEKEND!

Lucky for you Essen Haus, Come Back In and Up North Bar will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day all weekend this year at 514 E. Wilson St., Madison, WI.

Beginning Fri., Mar. 15 through Sun. Mar. 17 the Essen Haus and Come Back In will feature a special St. Patrick’s Day menu with the old Irish favorites and Irish influenced burgers and entrées.  Traditional dishes include Corned Beef and Cabbage, Irish Stew, Shepherd’s Pie and Fish and Chips. Special menu service begins at 4pm daily. The restaurants will also serve from their regular menus.

On Sat., Mar. 16, The Up North Bar hosts live Celtic cello music from 5pm-7pm. Admission is free.

With Irish quantity, German endurance, and great drink specials, the premium Irish imports, green boots and Irish whiskey will surely be flowing throughout the weekend.

UNDEAD EXPECTED TO APPEAR AT ZOMBIE DANCE/VIDEO PARTY AT COME BACK IN

Come Back In management anticipates a “Thriller”-like experience at their first Zombie Dance/Video party this Thurs., Oct. 25 starting at 9:30p.m. 

While spinning popular hits, classic throw backs, and spooky scary werewolf remixes, DJ Mr. Dance will add to the eerie undead atmosphere with Halloween videos playing on the many screens throughout the bar.

If you are not undead, you are still welcome to attend the party.  The Come Back In will supply zombie makeup for you. Dance stiff, moan and mumble, and you will fit in.  Also feel free to show up in your Halloween costume.

This party is cover- FREE with happy hour prices all night and fish bowls and beer sample paddles on special.  Next door Essen Haus welcomes the Eugene Smiles Project with boots of bier on special.  Catfish Stephenson plays live blues at the Up North with buckets of beer on special for $5.  Three bars, three bands, no cover.
